Show #37  -  Interview with professional shooter and current Carry Optics National Champion, Max Michel.

Born on December 15, 1981, Max Michel was raised in New Orleans , LA. Growing up he enjoyed many sports but it was in 1991 that he discovered his passion for shooting when his father introduced him to the competitive sport of Practical Shooting. In the years that followed, Michel proceeded to shatter most of the records held by the top juniors in the nation. It was at this point that the famed U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) took notice.

THE CHAMPION’S REIGN

Today, Max Michel, Jr. is one of the most dominant shooters in the world. His training methods and focus are beyond compare and have earned him a well earned reputation as a top tier athlete and instructor. He is the current International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) World Champion (XVII, USA) as well as the only shooter in history to hold six World Speed Shooting Championships. Michel also owns multiple World Speed Shooting records as well as being the only Action Shooter to win all USPSA Area Championships in the same season (2010). As an international competitor, Michel has represented the United States in the last six International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) World Shoots and returned home each time with team gold medals. Max’s winning record can be viewed here.
